Terms of Service

Effective: [DATE] · Last updated: [DATE]
⚠ Draft — these terms are being finalized ahead of launch. Highlighted placeholders will be completed before the service accepts public registrations.

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, downloading the RoMacro app, or using getromacro.com (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

These Terms form a binding contract between you and [Virage Studio], a sole proprietorship registered in Québec, Canada.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use RoMacro. If you are under the age of majority where you live (18 in most of Canada, including Québec), you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has read these Terms and consented to your use of the Service.

We may refuse service to anyone at our discretion.

3. Your account

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use RoMacro to:

5. Your content

You own the macros you create.

When you choose to publish a macro through RoMacro, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, display, and distribute it solely to operate the Service — for example, showing it to other users who download it, including it in the "Trending" and "Recent" feeds, and serving it via the share URL.

This license lasts as long as the macro is published. If you delete the macro or close your account, the license ends, though backup snapshots may persist for up to 14 days before they're rotated out.

You are responsible for everything you publish. If your content violates these Terms or applicable law, we may remove it without notice.

6. Our content

The RoMacro app, the RoMacro name and logo, the website, and all code, designs, and copy are owned by [Virage Studio] and protected by copyright and other laws.

You may use the app for its intended purpose. You may not:

7. Payments

When paid plans become available:

8. Macros that interact with other software (e.g. Roblox)

RoMacro is a general-purpose input automation tool. You may use it to automate any software running on your computer, including games.

Important: Many games — including Roblox — prohibit automation in their own terms of service. Using RoMacro to automate inputs into those games may result in your account being suspended or banned by them.

That is between you and the operator of the software you automate. We do not endorse any specific use case and accept no responsibility for bans, lockouts, or other consequences arising from your use of RoMacro to interact with third-party software.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that:

Macros are automation scripts that act on your computer. You run them at your own risk and should review what each one does before trusting it. RoMacro shows a preview of any imported macro's actions before you run it; review that preview carefully.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Virage Studio] is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service — including lost data, lost profits, lost gaming accounts, or loss of goodwill.

Our total cumulative liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the greater of:

Some jurisdictions don't allow limitations of liability. To the extent yours doesn't, the relevant limitation does not apply to you, but others remain in effect.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold [Virage Studio] harmless from claims, damages, and costs arising from your violation of these Terms, your published macros, or your misuse of the Service.

12. Termination

You can close your account at any time by emailing [email protected]. Account closure deletes your data per the Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. We'll give reasonable notice where possible.

Sections that should logically survive termination (your obligations, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law) do.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Any dispute will be brought in the courts of the judicial district of Montréal, Québec, unless your local consumer protection laws mandate a different venue.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms when our practices change. Material changes will be announced at least 30 days in advance by email and via an in-app banner.

Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree, close your account before the effective date.
